Old Photograph Bothy Cottage Island of Arran Scotland

Old photograph of farm workers outside a Bothy cottage on the Island Of Arran, Scotland. Unmarried farm workers lived in a bothy. Normally they took the job on a six monthly basis seeking new employment at the Spring or Autumn. It was in bothies like this that the bothy ballad originated, expressing the feelings on their living conditions.
