Scotland. An attempt to break Guinness World Record for the Largest Kilt Race was held on Saturday 2nd June 2012 in Perth, Scotland. Sponsored by The Famous Grouse and part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Perth. This iconic event with 1,074 participants in Scottish Tartan national dress, just fell short of beating the World Record. The runners ran around North Inch Park in Perth, down Tay Street, and around South Inch Park, before running back up Tay Street to North Inch Park. In this video you can see more than 1,000 runners running under the old Perth Bridge. So, at this time, Perth, Ontario,
Canada, still holds the Guinness World Record for the Largest Kilt Race. The race winner at the Kilt Run in Perth, Scotland, was Neilson Hall with Jack Goodwin in second place and Matt Janes in third place. The first woman to finish was Jane Hanson from Dundee.
