Tour Scotland Autumn video of trees in Cathedral Park, Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland. Dunkeld is thought to date back to the sixth century when a monastery was founded beside the River Tay. Today, the semi-ruined medieval cathedral of Dunkeld stands in wooded park land, close to River Tay. Most of the original town was destroyed during the Battle of Dunkeld when, in August 1689, the 26th Foot Cameronian Regiment successfully fought the Jacobites shortly after their victory at the Battle of Killiecrankie. Holes made by musket ball strikes during the battle can still be seen in the walls of the Cathedral.

Tour Scotland Autumn video of falling leaves in Greyfriars Graveyard in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. Built on land formerly occupied by a Franciscan friary founded around 1460, the graveyard has been restored and contains a number of Scottish headstones dating back hundreds of years.

Tour Scotland Autumn photograph of sunset at Queen's View, Loch Tummel, Perthshire, Scotland. Loch Tummel has one of the outstanding beauty spots in all of Scotland. The Queen’s View is where a panorama of lake and mountain scenery stretches westwards as far as the Glen Coe hills, on clear days, and beautiful sunsets at night.

Tour Scotland Autumn photograph of the Birks of Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland. The Birks of Aberfeldy are a wooded den surrounding the Falls of Moness. It was visited by Robert Burns on August 30th, 1787, inspring him to write the " The Birks of Aberfeldy " describing the beauty of the area.

Old photograph of Tantallon Castle, Scotland. A formidable stronghold set atop cliffs on the Firth of Forth, Tantallon Castle was the seat of the Douglas Earls of Angus, one of the most powerful baronial families in Scotland.
Old photograph of Dock Street, Dundee, Scotland. Dundee was second only to Edinburgh in terms of commercial prosperity. Most early trade was by sea and Dundee was ideally located on shipping routes to and from the Baltic and North European ports due to being closer than Edinburgh by two days sailing.

Old photograph of cars, shops, houses and people on Buchanan Street in Glasgow, Scotland. The first part of Buchanan Street from Argyle Street to Gordon Street was opened in 1780 and the remaining section in 1804. Initially, the street was occupied by a mixture of merchants’ villas, small holdings and some workshops but as the century progressed some very handsome buildings were erected, the first of significance being St George’s Church, now known as St. George’s Tron Church, designed by William Stark and completed in 1808. Further fine buildings were added, including the Glasgow Stock Exchange in 1875, designed by John Burnet. The street acquired a reputation for elegance and shopping which continues to this day.

Tour Scotland video shot this evening of a cargo ship docking at the harbour in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. The cargo ship Ingeborg Pilot docking at Perth Harbour at 5pm this evening. All the cargo ships arriving in Perth have to dock by this method, that is, by reversing into the harbour. Very overcast this evening.

Old photograph of Queen Mary's Bath House, Edinburgh, Scotland. Mary, Queen of Scots, used to bathe in sweet white wine, or at least, that is story these days. It is more likely that she used it as a Summer House.

Tour Scotland video shot today of IRC Rally of Scotland visit to Scone Palace, Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. The cars drove round the grounds of Scone Palace and past the main entrance to the Palace. World rallying stars, including Scots Alister McRae and David Bogie, were in attendance, with a range of impressive cars on show, including Skoda, Peugeot, Proton, Ford, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Citroen and Honda.
