Tour Scotland Video Whisky Tasting Tullibardine Distillery Perthshire

Tour Scotland video of Whisky Tasting at Tullibardine Distillery in Perthshire, Scotland. Tullibardine distillery nestles at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Perthshire, at the gateway to the Highlands of Scotland. Tullibardine Highland Malt Scotch whisky is generally recognised as an easy drinking malt. It is smooth and mellow on the palate with a fruity flavour and has a clean crisp finish. On nosing, it provides the recipient with a fresh, floral scent with hints of vanilla and chocolate orange. Distilled from the purest highland spring water, Tullibardine's qualities make it an ideal introductory malt scotch whisky. In this video a group from Finland enjoy a few drams.

Tour Scotland Video St Andrews Cathedral

Tour Scotland video of Cathedral in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. The 16th Century precinct wall encloses the cathedral ruins and the church of St Regulus also known as St Rule. The imposing St Regulus Church with its lofty western tower may well have been the shrine built to shelter the relics of Saint Andrew. Queen Margaret's son, Alexander I, nominated Robert, Prior of Scone as Bishop of St Andrews, and it was he who built the church between 1127 and 1144. The Square Tower has a magnificent panorama of St Andrews. Bishop Robert founded the priory around 1159 and his successor Bishop Arnold began work on the new cathedral, which was consecrated in 1318 by Bishop Lamberton in the presence of Robert the Bruce. Only the 12th Century east end, late 13th Century west gables and the south wall of the nave remain of this once immense building with its 10 bay nave. Following the troubles of the Reformation. subsequent neglect and 17th Century quarrying for stone, this once noble building was reduced to the the ruins you can see now. The remains of what was Scotland's largest and most magnificent church and the graveyard are most definitely worth a visit.

Tour Scotland Video Learn About The Quaich, Scottish Drinking Cup

Tour Scotland video, learn about the Quaich, the Scottish Drinking Cup in Scotland. A special kind of shallow two handled drinking cup or bowl. Commonly used for drinking whisky with friends. Sometimes the bottoms of the quaich are made of glass, allegedly so that the drinker could keep watch on his companions. A more romantic quaich had a double glass bottom in which was kept a lock of hair so that the owner could drink from his quaich to his lady love, and, in 1589, King James VI of Scotland gave Anne of Denmark a quaich or "loving cup" as a wedding gift.
